Star Trek: The Exhibition has now opened at the 2013 San Diego County Fair, which takes place from 8th June – 4th July.
Star Trek: The Exhibition is the largest collection of authentic Star Trek artifacts and information ever put on public display. A truly impressive array of exhibits featuring sets, costumes, priceless museum pieces and props from all five Star Trek television series and 11 Star Trek feature films, including the 2009 blockbuster film directed by J.J. Abrams. Together these components offer Star Trek fans and novices alike an opportunity to experience first-hand the imagination, artistry, technology and meticulous craftsmanship that have made Star Trek the most enduring science-fiction franchise in history.
Among the main attractions of the exhibition is an opportunity to sit in the legendary Captain’s chair where Captain Kirk took command of the USS Enterprise throughout the many great Star Trek adventures, plus the opportunity to pose in front of a replica of the USS Enterprise, enjoy one-of-a-kind displays, interactive kiosks, rare photo opportunities and more. This exhibition allows fans and visitors to explore and experience the world of Star Trek beyond the movies and franchises.
