Star Trek Into Darkness will have it’s UK television premiere this Friday 3rd January 2014. Sky Movies Premiere will show the twelve Star Trek film for the first time at 4.20pm.
JJ Abrams is back with his sequel to Star Trek (2009) Where the young crew of the USS Enterprise left off. Chris Pine returns as Captain James T. Kirk, with Zachary Quinto as Commander Spock.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Over the summer Into Darkness was a critical and commercial success, grossing more than $467 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of the Star Trek franchise.
This was the first film from the series to be shown in 3D. The film also had its world premiere in London in May 2013.
