The days running upto San Diego Comic Con, CBS released new teaser videos on Twitter showing props for Star Trek: Discovery.

The Starfleet comunnicator was the first prop to be revealed.

This looks to be an updated version of the iconic Original Series communicator.

The Starfleet phaser was the second prop to be revealed the next day.

The phaser looks liked an updated version of the weapon used in the first pilot episode for Star Trek, “The Cage”, and second pilot “Where No Man Has Gone Before”. This phaser also looks like it has a detachable top piece like the phasers seen later in The Original Series.

 

The Starfleet phaser rifle was the next prop to be revealed later that day.

 

 

 

 

The new Starfleet Tricorder has also been on display at San Diego Comic Con.

This looks to be an updated version of the iconic Original Series Tricorder also.

Klingon props have also been on display at San Diego Comic Con this week.

Torchbearer D’k tahg

“The d’k tahg (or Daqtagh) was the traditional Klingon warrior’s knife. It consisted of a single, straight-edged primary blade and two curved secondary blades, which could be either fixed or hinged. It was commonly used in hand-to-hand combat, and had great ceremonial value in Klingon culture.” – Source Memory Alpha

This D’k tahg is a reimagined version of the Klingon weapon from Star Trek: The Next Generation and other films & series.

Klingon Disruptor & Rifle

The rifle and disruptor have been inspired by the Star Trek: The Next Generation disruptor and made to look as nasty as possible.

 

Klingon bat’leth

The bat’leth is the weapon of choice for a Klingon warrior.

This is also a reimagined version of the Klingon weapon from Star Trek: The Next Generation and other films & series.

Klingon mek’leth
