The UK’s longest running not-for-profit Science Fiction convention, The Scif-Fi Ball, which takes place at the beautiful Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton from 8 – 10 February 2019 with all profits going to support the vital work of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Each day of the classic convention includes Q&A’s, professional photography and autograph sessions with the stars, activities, challenges and art/fiction competitions, an emporium of merchandise and collectables available for sale in a large dealer’s room, a special table-top gaming room, an exhibition hall including roaming full size Daleks, life-sized, fan-built recreations of sets, replica models and displays from talented model makers not to mention several opportunities to party after each day including discos, karaoke and full interactive games on stage with Trekologist B Jones.
The Con Dance Workshop to teach your two left feet the correct routines to enjoy all the convention dances; an epic pub quiz full of geeky questions both verbal and picturesque, A Gold Ticket Cocktail Party, including a hot buffet and a generous glass of bubbly welcoming gold ticket members offering up close and personal meetings with the guests, a goody bag full of film promotional merchandise and epic three foot chocolate fountains, plus a state of the art interactive game-show called A Question of Snort. Friday concludes with a fabulous party and a prize for the best fancy dress/cosplay costume will be awarded.
A full, three-course black-tie/fancy dress dinner with live cabaret, a ‘money-can’t buy’ raffle, including incredibly unique prizes and an exclusive cocktail party with the stars of the small and silver screen.
A team of five shiny new attendees will challenge a team of SFB crew and previous games players in a massive geek fuelled game called Geek-Heads. Karaoke will then run until the small hours and then its recovery time.
Headline sponsor, The Horror Channel will be taking over the mezzanine level of the stunning four star Grand Harbour Hotel with a Horror Channel – Sci-Fi Zone. The take-over will comprise of an extra special immersive screening room in the style of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Holodeck, which will show the best episodes from the Star Trek franchise and will be filled with comfy bean bags and loungers for fans to kick-back and enjoy their favourite episodes together.
The Scifi-Ball will also be the place to be to see the UK Premiere of science fiction short film Hashtag. Star Gigi Edgley, director/co-writer Ben Alpi, and producer Jyotika Virmani will be offering a special Q&A after the premiere.
