Last month I reported about a Kickstarter for a handcrafted Mahogany Star Trek Enterprise display by Mark Lentry. This Kickstarter was however unsuccessful in funding his goal, but Mark has returned with a new crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo.
Mark Lentry’s campany “Wood That I Could” creates handcrafted Mahogany Star Trek Enterprises with remote control lighting as well as Walnut/Mahogany LED Phasers and Oak LED Delta Shield Display Stands. The current Enterprise has solid coloured Cold Cathode lights in the engine nacelles. Mark worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
“Wood That I Could” was recently at the Stan Lee Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles in October, where they received the #1 rating of the Top 6 things to see at Comikaze from the website insufficientscotty.com.
He’s been working out his girlfriends garage to create these handcrafted pieces, but now needs a more permanent place. Mark has setup a IndieGoGo Campaign to help with leasing a shop for one year as well as all utilities, phone, lumber, lights, materials, vendor booth fees, transportation costs of product to and from conventions and finally the funds needed to get a professional website up and running with shopping cart capability.
A IndieGoGo reward for backers who pledge $275.00 or more will receive one Mahogany or Walnut LED Phaser with Oak LED Delta Shield Display Stand.
Backers who pledge $2,000.00 or more will receive will receive one Mahogany Enterprise with remote controlled lighting.
